So I'm starting at a new school for my senior year, and I'm getting more and more nervous every day. School starts next week, and I have no idea what to expect. This is my first time doing online school (if you don't count COVID, which i dont). I have all of these new teachers, unfamiliar classes and one friend coming with me. I feel so uncertain. When I did online school last, I got very depressed, and had no friends that entire year. I really hope that doesn't happen. I'm hoping to stay close with my friend group, but I'm not sure how reallistic that is. I mean we've all sort of started to drift off from eachother, and really I don't think we would even be friends if we weren't stuck at that school together. But I'm thinking of joining some clubs at this new school and hopefully make new friends. I don't know. I feel like I'm going to explode. What if I don't click with any of the teachers? What if none of them know me well enough to write me a reccomendation letter? Then I think about all the time I'll have not going to a traditional school. What will I do with all that time? I've already wasted away my summer doing nothing, and I feel terrible about it. This isn't my first time switching schools, and this feels just like my first day of 6th grade. I moved to a totally different county where I knew nobody. I felt so scared and uncertain I was holding back tears. I simply couldn't do it. But over time it got better. I hope that's how this will turn out.
